Several aluminium models feature rope upholstery around the frame. Rope is a braided synthetic cord that gives a warmer, more organic appearance than bare aluminium. The Liv rope and Rivera rope combine the lightweight aluminium with the soft look of rope. Rope is weather-resistant, colourfast and easy to clean.

Maintaining garden chairs

• Aluminium: no special cleaning needed. Damp cloth is sufficient.
• Textilene/Batyline: lukewarm water with mild soap. Do not scour, no solvents.
• Stainless steel: damp cloth. Rarely needs a stainless steel cleaner with the brushed finish.
• Rope: lukewarm water and soap. Dries quickly after cleaning.
• Teak (armrests): turns silver-grey naturally. Optionally treat with teak oil for the original colour.
